Recently, doctoral students Luo Kaiming, Zhang Xu and master student Li Yansong from the laboratory participated in the 22nd "Huawei Cup" China Graduate Mathematical Modeling Competition. After fierce competition and tenacious efforts, they won the third prize, fully demonstrating the solid mathematical foundation, outstanding innovation ability and collaborative scientific research spirit of the students in the laboratory.
The China Graduate Mathematical Modeling Competition is one of the thematic events of the "China Graduate Innovation and Practice Series Competitions", known for its high difficulty, high intensity and high gold content. The topics of this competition cover cutting-edge science, engineering technology, social economy and other fields, posing an extreme challenge to the participants' knowledge breadth, modeling ability, algorithm implementation and team cooperation.

In the topic selection stage at the beginning of the competition, the team faced a severe test. Confronted with several highly challenging competition questions, they remained calm and composed. Combining their professional backgrounds and advantages, after hours of in-depth analysis and heated discussions, they finally locked in their target. In the following days, a corner of the laboratory became their main battlefield, filled with an atmosphere of tension and concentration. Complex data and dense code flickered on the screens, while the whiteboards were covered with deduced formulas and mind maps. After days and nights of intense work, a complete mathematical modeling paper was finally completed. From model assumptions to solution verification, and from result analysis to summary of innovative points, every page embodies their rigorous scientific attitude and the belief in pursuing excellence.

"This competition is not just a contest for us, but an all-round exercise," the team members sighed. "It has greatly improved our comprehensive ability to solve complex practical problems, and made us more deeply realize the power of teamwork. We will bring this valuable experience and fighting spirit into our future scientific research work and strive to achieve more and better results." At the same time, everyone also deeply realized that they still have many shortcomings to improve through this competition. In the days ahead, it is believed that they will continue to improve themselves and surpass themselves!
