On January 13, 2020, the 2019 Annual Awards Ceremony of the Laboratory for Ultra-Complex Network Science and Intelligent Systems was held at the 4th-floor conference room of the Fudan University Computing Center.

At the beginning of the meeting, the members of the Laboratory for Ultra-Complex Network Science and Intelligent Systems presented their reports and summaries. Professor Dingding Han, the head of the laboratory, offered the following suggestions:

1. When presenting literature reviews, use tools like PPT to transform the papers into internalized insights.

2. For simulation results, PPT can be used to display each result, which helps in managing schedules and timelines, ensuring the completeness of the work.

3. Be proactive in summarizing the meetings you attend and try to list as many of your ideas and thoughts as possible.

4. Set reasonable goals, starting with a large objective and then breaking it down into smaller, manageable tasks.

5. Effectively manage time.

During the subsequent awards ceremony, Professor Han introduced four special awards and recognized outstanding graduate students for the year 2019:

1. Outstanding Achievement Award: This award will not consider impact factors, but high citation numbers will be an important evaluation criterion.

2. Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award: Awarded to students who actively participated in major national and provincial graduate innovation competitions and achieved remarkable results.

3. Outstanding Graduate Student Award: This award is given to students who have excelled in research, teamwork, and interaction with both peers and mentors during their studies.

4. Outstanding Graduate Award: This award focuses on the comprehensive qualities of the students.
