The 2020 Special Award Ceremony and Year-End Review Meeting of the Laboratory was held at 2:00 PM on January 26, 2021, in the Conference Room on the 2nd floor of the Chemistry West Building at Fudan University, Handan Campus. Due to the pandemic, some students had returned home and attended the meeting online. The event invited Professor Qiu Song from East China Normal University to participate.

At the beginning of the meeting, the lab director, Professor Dingding Han, briefly introduced the criteria for the special awards, which included: the Scientific Contribution Award (outstanding achievements), Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award (science and technology competitions), Student Work Award (excellent graduate students), and Outstanding Graduate Award (overall qualities). After evaluation, the special award recipients for the year were:

1) Yang Chao (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award): Team leader of the 2017 National Graduate Mathematical Modeling Competition, awarded second prize; core member of the 2020 COVID-19 Data Visualization Public Welfare Action - Tianchi Competition.

2) Zhao Kaidi (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award): Team leader of the 2017 National Graduate Mathematical Modeling Competition, awarded third prize; core member of the 2020 COVID-19 Data Visualization Public Welfare Action - Tianchi Competition.

3) Wan Jiaxin (Outstanding Graduate Award): Made significant contributions to the lab's research project outcomes, published one paper, which was accepted by IJMPC (included in the "Top Papers" directory).

Due to the graduation of Wan Jiaxin (jointly trained by East China Normal University), who has already secured a job, he could not attend the meeting in person, but he sent his reflections and expressed gratitude to the laboratory.

The second agenda of the meeting was the year-end research work reports by graduate students, and three undergraduate students also presented their thesis proposals. Professor Dingding Han and Professor Qiu Song provided comments and guidance. After comprehensive evaluation, one first prize, two second prizes, and four third prizes were awarded. The winners were: Yang Chao (first prize), Zhao Kaidi (second prize), Xu Mingyue (second prize), Yang Zhengzhuang (third prize), Chen Zhuoran (third prize), Zhi Huiyu (third prize), and Zhang Zhengyu (third prize).

The year 2020 was an extraordinary one. In the face of the sudden COVID-19 pandemic, all members of the laboratory worked together and overcame difficulties, steadily advancing the implementation of national key projects. We hope that in the upcoming new year, we will stay true to our original aspirations, bravely shoulder our missions, and strive for progress once again!

Goodbye to the Year of the Rat and welcome the Year of the Ox, as we celebrate the Spring Festival with great joy.

Wishing all dear lab members a Happy New Year!
